Chamber Community Meeting: 11/08/2022

Attendees at this meeting learned the backstory on the new Community Center from Council Member April Tyler and BBQ Barn’s Cindi Schranz. The beautifully remodeled facility opened recently and is available to rent for private parties, corporate events, family reunions, wedding receptions or rehearsal dinners. It shares a building with the Buffalo Gap Senior Center. New signage is coming soon!

Guests also got the inside skinny on the upcoming holiday celebration – all new and re-imagined and moving to Old Settlers Reunion Grounds for more space and more fun. Kelli Humphries, proprietor of Loco Buffalo, Marla Schooley of Schooley Saddlery, and James Myers of the Buffalo Gap Presbyterian Camp are supporting board member Rhonda Moore in presenting this all-new community celebration.

And finally, area residents learned about protecting one of Buffalo Gap’s most prized treasures: our dark, starry skies. Simply adjustments in our homes and businesses can help alleviate light pollution and many residents were eager to get involved in the project.
