Thank You to Our Sponsors
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing sponsors! Without this incredible group of dedicated local businesses, Christmas in the Gap simply wouldn’t be possible as a free event for our community. These sponsors have generously contributed their time, effort, and resources to ensure this celebration is a success.
If you haven’t heard of one of these businesses or haven’t had the chance to support them, we urge you to do so. Their commitment to our community deserves our gratitude and support in return. Let’s show them how much their involvement means to all of us!
Community Kick Off Event
Community Kick-Off Event - Smithsonian in the Gap
Hosted by the Buffalo Gap Chamber of Commerce at the Buffalo Gap Historic Village, this event invites all residents and those involved in the Buffalo Gap community to come together to prepare and learn more about the Smithsonian in the Gap project. Join us for an evening designed to engage the local community and provide opportunities to be a part of this exciting initiative.
In partnership with the Texas Archive of the Moving Image (TAMI), a film drop-off station will be available for you to bring in your family’s old home movies to be digitized and preserved for free.
Additionally, a video booth will be open for residents to record their own or their family’s oral histories, ensuring that the unique stories of Buffalo Gap are captured for future generations. These recordings may even be included in a special movie at a future event.
Throughout the event, committee booths will be set up around the village, offering information on how you can get involved in the project.
Whether you’re interested in sharing your stories, joining a committee, or learning more about the exhibit’s themes, there are plenty of ways for residents and community members to contribute and make a lasting impact.
Light refreshments will be provided, and we encourage everyone who lives or is involved in Buffalo Gap to attend. RSVP today and take part in this important project that honors our community’s rich heritage! See less
